A real estate survey conducted
by Interior Redesign Industry Specialists, compiled statistics for
homes that were staged prior to sale. Of 21 states responding, the
following are average percentages reflected in survey results.
Sales Speed:
1. 5% of staged homes sold the same day
2. 2% of staged homes sold within
2 days
3. 9% of staged homes sold within 3-5 days
4. 84% of staged homes
sold within 5-30 days
Sales Dollars:
The
survey inquired: "How much over the asking price have your staged
homes sold for?" 1. 39% responded that homes
sold for up to $4,999 over asking price
2. 45% responded that homes sold for
$5,000 – $49,999 over asking price
3. 16% responded that homes sold for
$50,000-$200,000 over asking price
A HomeGain survey of 2,000 real estate
agents nationwide, found that moderately priced home improvements,
ranging from $80 to $2800, made in preparation for sale actually
yield the highest returns when a house is sold.
